FigDex

Photograph a minifigure. Find out which one it is.

Point the camera at a minifigure and FigDex matches it against a catalogue of 17,068 of them. It answers with what it can see: one figure when it is sure, two or three side by side when the difference is a printed detail, or the character with all its variants when the photo does not show enough. It does not guess.

What it does

• Identify — a photo against the catalogue, with the reason for the match.
• Collect — an album page of what you have, with a note against any of them.
• Complete a series — 13 of 16, and which three are missing.
• Wishlist — everything you are still looking for, one tap from a series.

What it will not do

It does not price anything. There is no dollar figure anywhere in the app, because a guessed valuation is a number nobody can check and every collector would be right to argue with. Rarity is four labels worked out from the catalogue — how old a figure is, how many sets it came in, whether it was a blind bag — and the rule is printed in the app so you can disagree with the arithmetic rather than with a number that came from nowhere.
